Considering the history of white-Black relations in the United States of America, of the physical harm inflicted on Our minds and bodies and immeasurable scars rammed into their spirit and psyche, should African Americans be as trusting of white people as they are? The answer is obviously "No!" but the same is true of a battered woman who keeps returning to the man who abuses her. When analyzing white-Black relations in the United States, Black People would definitely be playing a role analogous to that of the woman, the battered woman, the disconcerted battered woman. Are they, like the disconcerted battered woman, incapable of making the decision that will ensure their safety and promote the well being of their people?
